I thought of a theory about Resident Evil. This is just a theory & shouldn't be taken official unless stated otherwise by Capcom. For those of you that don't know RE is mainly a game series & the movies are an adaptation. One problem is the character Alice. She's not even in the games. This theory is about her. My theory is she exists in the main continuity, but the movies are her imagination. She was an Umbrella employee that thought what they were doing was wrong, but didn't know what to do. So, she imagined what it would be like to stop them. After the Raccoon City incident she met Jill Valentine who told her about the mansion incident & fighting Nemesis. Later on she met the other characters from the game. This could explain why the characters from the games are minor characters in the movies. As for Retribution she really did have a daughter, but the rest was in her imagination. Also, the reason Wesker joins her in her imagination is because she was attracted to him & couldn't face the reality that he was evil.
